Effective today (8.18.21) and for all concerts through November 1, 2021, The Lyric will be requiring all attendees, staff, and crew to provide proof of full vaccination or a negative Covid test taken within 72 hours of the concert, except where restricted by law. We understand that everyone has a lot of questions and have done our best to answer those below.

Why November 1st?

This is not intended to be a permanent policy. We will review our entry requirements in sixty days and update you then on any changes or reversals for shows after November 1, 2021.

What Kind of COVID tests will be accepted?

A negative COVID-19 test result (molecular, PCR or antigen) that was administered by an official testing center. Test results must be dated no more than 72 hours prior to entry. Home testing kit results will not be accepted for entry.

What does fully vaccinated mean?

As of this time you are considered "fully vaccinated” two weeks after your second dose of Pfizer or Moderna, or two weeks past a single Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Yes, we are aware that boosters may be required at some point this fall and that is why we will reevaluate the policy for shows after November 1st in sixty days.

I have tickets to an upcoming concert and don't want to take a COVID test or get vaccinated. Can I get a refund?

If you are unable or unwilling to provide the requested documentation for entry, if you do not have the ability to provide a test result taken within the 72-hour window, or you have no intention of getting vaccinated you may request a refund to any show scheduled before November 1st, 2021. The period for refund requests will begin today and will end August 27th. To request a refund please email info@thelyricoxford.com and include the show and name your tickets were purchased under. Refunds will take 3-5 days to appear as a credit on your statement.

What is an acceptable proof of vaccination when I arrive?

Acceptable documentation may be a physical copy of a COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card, a digital copy of the card. We have also partnered with Bindle-- a free app that allows you to digitally store a test result or vaccine record privately and securely. We believe the app will speed up the door so check it out.

What if I forget my proof of vaccination or don't have proof of vaccination at the door? You won’t get in-- just don't.

What if I have a medical condition or religious belief that exempts me from getting vaccinated? We will accommodate medical and religious exemptions upon submission of necessary documentation. Please contact info@thelyricoxford for requirements. You will still be required to provide a negative Covid test result, taken within 72 hours of the event.

What about patrons under the age of 12? As the vaccine has not been approved for use on kids under age 12, a negative Covid test taken within 72 hours of the event will be required.

Will I still have to wear a mask? If not required by State or Local law at the time of the concert, we are STRONGLY ENCOURAGING you to continue wearing a mask at our concerts. Our staff will be 100% vaccinated and masked.

Why are you doing this?

We really don't want concerts to go away again. We have bills to pay too and this is the best way to keep shows from cancelling again. Chances are the artist that you really want to see would like to see you vaccinated too. Respectfully, we also just think it is the right thing to do and helps create a safer environment.

ABOUT TAUK

TAUK may be an instrumental band, but even without words, the group’s extraordinary new album, Chaos Companion, manages to speak volumes about the ups and downs of a year that challenged—and transformed—us all. Forced off the road by the COVID-19 pandemic, the quartet spent 2020 stretching themselves sonically, leaning into the sense of possibility that came with an empty calendar and letting it guide them toward uncharted territory. The resulting songs push TAUK’s sound to bold new heights, fusing elements of progressive rock, funk, soul, EDM, and hip-hop into a melodic, groove-driven blend, one that’s complemented here by the equally adventurous production work of longtime collaborator Robert Carranza. Add it all up and you’ve got a cinematic collection that hints at everything from 70’s film scores and 80’s videogames to 90’s R&B and modern dance music, an immersive record that blurs the lines between analog and electronic as it balances old school grit and futuristic sheen in equal measure.

Founded by bassist Charlie Dolan, guitarist Matt Jalbert, and keyboardist Alric Carter, who began playing together in middle school, TAUK landed on its present lineup in 2012, when drummer Isaac Teel joined full time. Since then, the quartet has gone on to tour with the likes of Umphrey’s McGee, Widespread Panic, and Lettuce, landed festival slots everywhere from Bonnaroo to Electric Forest, racked up millions of streams, and released a series of widely lauded studio and live albums.
