When is the Box Office open?
The box office is open on show days 30 minutes before doors. Show times are posted on all of our event details, however, if they change we will contact you by email. All tickets can also be purchased online.
Where do I pick up my tickets?
Tickets are emailed as a pdf or may be shown on your phone. Try searching your email for “seetickets” or “eventim”.
Can I buy tickets at the Box Office?
If the show has not sold out, you may purchase tickets at the box office; however, we do encourage patrons to purchase their tickets in advance if they are concerned the show may sell out.
How do I purchase tickets in advance?
We sell tickets on our homepage, www.thelyricoxford.com. Eventim and Seetickets are our official ticketing partner and the only valid ticketing site. We do not guarantee admission of tickets purchased from third party or resale sites.
Is there seating in the venue?
No, The Lyric is a standing room only venue. Certain events may have reserved seating for a different price but will be notated during online checkout and inside the event information.
My plans have changed. Can I get a refund?
Tickets will only be refunded if a band cancels or inclement weather prevents the event from happening.

What type of payment is accepted?
The Lyric takes cash and all major credit cards. Checks will not be accepted as payment.
Do I need to show an ID to enter the venue?
A state issued ID is required of all guests, regardless of your age. If you are over 21 and do not have the proper identification, alcohol consumption will not be allowed.
I think I lost my credit card at the bar. When can I come get it?
You are welcome to pick up your card the next time you visit The Lyric. Please call in advance to let us know that your card is lost and schedule a time to meet us.
GUEST CONDUCT
Can I smoke in the venue?
No, but there is an enclosed patio accessible during shows.
Can I leave the venue and come back?
No. The Lyric has a strict no-reentry policy on all ticketed events. Only in emergency circumstance will reentry be allowed.
I’m disabled. What kind of accommodations can you make for me?
The Lyric is equipped to accommodate all ADA guests. If you require specific accommodations, please call in advance or notify a manager upon arrival so we can help.
Are minors allowed? Can I bring my child?
Yes and no. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian due to the complicated nature of hosting events and liability for our liquor license. Unaccompanied minors (under 18) will be denied entry. There is an additional $5 fee for those under 21.
GENERAL
What is a valid form of ID?
All patrons must have a valid form of identification to enter events with age restrictions or to consume alcohol. We will deny entry to anyone presenting fraudulent identification. No refunds. You may provide a state issued ID or passport.
What is an Underage Fee?
Anyone under 21 years of age is charged a $5 Underage Fee at the door. This fee helps us pay insurance, property taxes, lost bar revenue, etc and allowing us to provide entertainment for those under drinking age.
May I bring a camera in?
Professional cameras are prohibited inside The Lyric without artist approval. Camera policies may be changed by the Artist last minute. Please check the event information for additional information.
What is your bag policy?
All bags are checked upon entry, but it does not have to be clear. Large bags (over 20″) are not permitted.
TIMES
What time do doors open?
Standard door times are at 7:00. This may not be the case for all shows. For door times please reference your ticket or the venue website.
What time does the show start?
This depends on the show, style of entertainment, number of opening acts, and VIP. Most shows will follow the following format: 7PM Doors, 8PM Support Act, 9PM Headliner.
What happens if an event is cancelled or postponed?
If a show is cancelled or rescheduled ticket holders will be notified immediately by e-mail or phone call. Tickets will be refunded if cancelled and you will have an option for a refund if postponed.
How late do your shows run until?
End times vary but most headlining artists play for 75-90 minutes. The Lyric has a hard curfew of 12:45 AM Monday – Saturday and 8:45 PM on Sundays.
CHILDREN
Does my child need a ticket?
Children under five do not require a ticket to attend the show. However, if the event you are attending is children’s entertainment focused, all attendees will require a ticket at full face value.
Can my child consume alcohol if I am present?
Regardless of guardian presence, it is our policy that individuals under the age of 21 may not consume alcohol.
LOCATION
Where is the venue located?
The Lyric is located at 1006 Van Buren Avenue, off the Square in downtown Oxford, MS (on the corner or Van Buren Avenue and 11th Street)
Where do I park?
The Lyric does not have its own parking lot. Parking is available at any open city lot, metered street spaces, and the parking garage.
